The Curull is the 'entry level' wine of Vinyas d'Empremta. But an entry-level wine at this level doesn't really exist, especially when you consider that the grapes come from old vines and grapes that are picked by hand and made into wine completely naturally with their own yeasts.
The grapes are fermented in a 'tank' of the stone that you find in the vineyard. 25% destemmed in fermentation, which is set in stone for three weeks. After fermentation, the wine goes into stainless steel tanks for another 9 months before going into the bottle as pure and unfiltered as possible.
This wine is a blend of all the red grape varieties available at Vinyas, which gives a nice balance in the wine. Red fruit, dark fruit, earthy. Accessible yet surprising.
Limited edition: 809 bottles
Natural wine: unfiltered & no added sulflite (12 mg/l total SO2)
