Winemaker Carles Muray is busy reintroducing almost lost and forgotten grapes at Oller del Mas, including the Sumoll. This wine is made using macération carbonique where the whole bunches are fermented. After this, the wine is left on the lees for 6 months before aging in the bottle for another 6 months.
All this results in a particularly fruity and light wine. Low in alcohol and fresh acid with lots of red fruit, this wine fits perfectly with drinks, spicy dishes, fish or just a nice steak... An all-rounder with an enormous liveliness! The bottle will be finished before you know it.
You almost wonder, is this a Beaujolais cru or does it really come from Catalonia?!
