Wine description:

Only 2% of the wine production in Priorat is white wine, but that doesn't make the white wine any less. If there is a wine that shows that, it is the Matraketa Blanc from Ficaria Vins in La Figuera.

This white wine made from 100% Garnatxa Blanca is fermented in stainless steel tanks, where the wine rests for 4 months on the lees. The wine is then bottled unfiltered. A wealth of aromas drifts out of the glass. Driven by ripe apricot and pear and enriched with white flower fields, fennel, hazelnut and lime - the scents you also smell when you stand in the vineyard. As soon as you take a sip, the fresh, pristine character of the wine becomes even more apparent. A tad salty, rich in fruit and with a delicious body. You wonder why they don't make more white wine in this region!
